Federico Rossi, for the first time since the story with Paola Di Benedetto, talks about the break with the girl from Vicenza, winner of Big Brother Vip 4 and today a brilliant radio host. Interviewed by Corriere della Sera, the singer explained that despite the relationship has come to a halt, with the ex he remained on excellent terms (fact also told by Di Benedetto herself recently) and that the complicity with her, even if the roads are divided, remains.
“We broke up for a couple of months. We have always been accomplices regardless of being engaged. We are on excellent terms ”. So Federico who now looks ahead, especially from the musical point of view. Also in this area there was a tsunami, that is to say the artistic separation from his friend and companion Benjamin Mascolo, with whom he gave life to the duo Benji&Fede, achieving great success.
“I see a sense of vertigo – says the artist referring to the near future -, but I want to express myself. I would like to go to Sanremo too, but I want my first Festival to be special, with a song that satisfies me, so I don’t know when it will be. If I go, I go perfectly whole with myself ”.
About the end of the collaboration with Mascolo, with whom he remained friends, says that today, engaged as a soloist, he feels more “fluid, free, motivated“. “Now we start playing for real, I’m building my future every day”, glosses. The 27-year-old from Modena, who together with Benjamin greeted his fans with a double concert at the Verona Arena (here we saw for the last time the duo Benji & Fede), he then returned to the reasons that led the band to an artistic farewell.
Rossi speaks of a consensual decision, matured without any quarrel or friction, born simply “From different needs”. “It was a teen idol project, with dynamics that now repeated themselves, it was very difficult to grow and I had no more space”, he adds, regarding the decision to proceed each on his own path ..
No particular nostalgia, therefore, for the time that was. Also because it is him Benji they are projected towards new goals and are full of enthusiasm. Furthermore, they continue to support and feel each other, because, as Rossi points out, they are “Friends, first of all. And since we separated, a relationship has started that finally goes beyond the career ”. In short, if before they were practically obliged to meet, today they do it only for the sheer pleasure of doing so. Friendship, in fact!

There was no time, the energies were not infinite, the pressure was sky high and above all on the shoulders of two young men. “I couldn’t find the time for myself anymore and I completely collapsed. I didn’t sleep anymore, but then I had to perform and be lucid. It was exhausting “, comments Federico. About the bere, points out that the issue should not be emphasized: “In the book I said that I drank, yes, but not to incredible levels, a few beers. I started getting caught up in circumstances, wanting to do all kinds of things. Without friends, my mother or my ex girlfriend Paola it would have been hard ”.
