Man tries to calm a quarrel in South and is stabbed with a knife

A man who tried to calm an argument on the Schipbeekstraat in South this afternoon was stabbed with a knife. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A man and woman were arguing in the street around 5:45 p.m., according to a bystander. When the victim tried to intervene, he was stabbed. The arguing man fled and the woman stayed behind.

A description of the perpetrator is not known, a police spokesperson said.
