Attracts the Interest of Magelang City Residents, Covid-19 Vaccination Is Implemented at Kyai Langgeng Park

Harianjogja.com, MAGELANG – Efforts to attract public interest for the Covid-19 vaccine are carried out by the Magelang City Government by holding Covid-19 vaccinations at tourist attractions.

Vaccination entitled “Vaccine Tour“This was carried out at the Kyai Langgeng Park Tourism Object, Sunday (22/8/2021). “We are looking for patterns on how to get people interested in being vaccinated. Like now, we hold it at Kyai Langgeng Park and we pick it up using a minibus belonging to the Magelang City Government,” said Magelang Mayor Dr. Muchamad Nur Aziz (Dokter Aziz) on the sidelines of the activity.

“We have held the first (mass vaccination) here (at Kyai Langgeng Park). Now the 2nd, and maybe later the 3rd will also be carried out here, until 100 percent of Magelang City residents are vaccinated,” he added.

Doctor Aziz said that once a week the Magelang City Covid-19 Handling Task Force evaluates the handling of Covid-19, including this mass vaccination. In general, he said, the Covid-19 data in this region was in accordance with the data recorded at the Covid-19 Task Force at the Central and Central Java Provinces.

“We continue to do mass vaccination plans, we evaluate once a week,” he said.

It is undeniable, until now people’s understanding of vaccines is still different. This is a separate obstacle in accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination.

Doctor Aziz also thanked those who had helped educate the public about vaccines, such as the Magelang City Police and the 0705 Magelang Kodim. These two agencies also assist the Health Office (Dinkes) in providing vaccines in Magelang City.

“Thanks to the Chief of Police, Kodim, who have provided education, understanding of the community regarding vaccines that are useful for providing immunity. The side effects of vaccines are not dangerous,” explained Doctor Aziz.

For information, this time the mass Covid-19 vaccination uses the Sinovac and Moderna brand vaccines. For Moderna, it provides fever-reducing drugs (paracetamol) for vaccine recipients because the side effects are different from Sinovac.

The Magelang City Government has also started injecting the 3rd dose of vaccine (booster) using the Moderna vaccine for health workers (nakes) and supporting staff who handle Covid-19.
