SUMMARY OF THE GAME
Sport Lisboa and Benfica played the final of Round 1 of qualification for the Women’s Champions League, against Racing FC Union Luxembourg, scoring 7-0. The duel took place in Zenica, near Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The victory earned them qualification for Round 2, played over two games.
Benfica started the meeting in the best way: still in the first minute, corner kick on the left side of the attack with Catherine beloved to go to the second post, opening the bookmark (1-0). The following minutes were of intense pressure from Benfica, accumulating moments of shot and danger, and in one of them Chloé Lacasse, in the 6th minute, lost a flagrant opportunity to extend the score.
In 18 ‘Kocan had the only opportunity in the first half with his right foot to score, but the goalkeeper Leticia avoided with a good defense.
Shortly after, at 21 ‘, Valeria, in second place, the Andreia Faria junction, parked in the 2-0. The course of Benfica’s overwhelming dominance continued as the minutes passed, and two more goals came at half-time, both from Francisca nazareth. At 39 ‘, O 3-0 to convert a penalty to Cloé Lacasse, including at 42 ‘ Shirt 18 did not forgive against goalkeeper Burtin (4-0).
In the second half, the pace of the match slowed down, the technical team physically managed the team, but still, the Inspirational women had multiple opportunities to expand the score. Nycole (47 ‘), Cloé Lacasse (53’) and Maria Negrão (80 ‘) were the protagonists, but the last five minutes of the game, four of them in added time, were devastating for Benfica.
Nycole, out of pain, did the 5-0 at 90 ‘, Beatriz Cameirão O 6-0 at 90 ‘+ 3’, and, after the final whistle of Judge Michéle Schmölzer, Valeria scored his second goal in the match, the 7-0, a 90 ‘+ 4’.
O Benfica thus won the final of Round 1 for access to the group stage of the Champions League feminine and this Sunday, at 13:00, will meet the opponent in Round 2, which will be played with two hands.
