the company of open world platform Roblox was accused by the People Make Games channel, on YouTube, to explore young game developers. In a video, Quintin Smith recounts an obscure trading system at Roblox Corporation that makes it difficult for professionals to make money from the system.
In his report, Smith points out that Roblox has 200 million monthly subscribers and encourages young developers to work hard, generating high expectations of success. The platform revolves around children. The little ones make games for others to play. Games can be monetized and paid for using a virtual currency, Robux.

For users to withdraw the money, it is necessary to add 100 thousand Robux, the equivalent of US$ 1 thousand, more than R$ 5 thousand. As it is difficult for developers to get their games noticed among the millions available, they end up failing to recover the value and put it back on Roblox.
You creators, in turn, can only withdraw Robux if they pay for a monthly premium subscription. Also, the fee for them is different. Instead of 100 thousand Robux being equivalent to US$ 1 thousand, they only represent US$ 350, less than R$ 2 thousand.
The website Eurogamer contacted Roblox Corporation, but platform he didn’t explain the situation, he just took the body out. “During the first six months of 2021, our developer community earned $248.7 million and we’re on our way to share half a billion dollars with our community in 2021; which is about 5 times the amount our community earned in 2019,” said the company.
Roblox added that “developers and creators, large and small, are key” to the platform’s ecosystem. “We are heavily invested in making our community of developers and creators successful and we continue to look for opportunities for community success,” he said.
