Uruguay and Paraguay qualified for the 2021 Copa America quarter-finals on Thursday, beating Bolivia in Cuiaba and Chile in Brasilia, respectively, by the same score of 2-0.
These results eliminate Bolivia, which can no longer mathematically advance to the next round.
Uruguayan side, the opening of the score intervened on a center of Giorgian De Arrascaeta deflected by the Bolivian defender Jairo Quinteros then by his goalkeeper Carlos Lampe, scorer against his camp (40th). The main stake is to know who will finish in 4th place, which guarantees as quarterly opponent Brazil, host country, defending champion and favorite of the competition. It will be Uruguay if they lose or draw. If Celeste wins, 4th place will go to Chile.
