Sales rose in the first half, take a peek at Realme Indonesia’s strategy this year

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Brand gadget Realme managed to record a positive performance until the first half of this year. Overall, Realme posted a 15% increase in sales compared to the same period last year.

The increase was mainly supported by sales smartphone number series, such as the Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro, Realme 8 5G, and the Narzo series. As well as a slight improvement from the C series products. “We hope with 5G flagship killer today and our best-selling AIoT product, we can increase sales even more,” said Marketing Director Realme Indonesia, Palson Yi when contacted by Kontan.co.id, Friday (20/8).

Furthermore, Palson revealed, throughout this year Realme has launched various new products from some of their product segments, ranging from entry-level until flagship and also a new category of AIoT market.

This, he said, is in line with Realme’s development strategy this year, which has begun to enter the AIoT 2.0 development phase, with a 1+5+T strategy.

“1 Smartphone as the core of our smart ecosystem, 5 consist of key categories for Realme’s AIoT products, including True Wireless Stereo (TWS), wearable, TVs, Laptops, tablets. And T stands for TechLife. Realme’s open partner platform, which aims to support the innovative and dynamic AIoT.”

In addition, Realme will also continue to support 5G acceleration in Indonesia through smartphone Affordable 5G, like Realme 8 5G, 5G flagship killer, and also the Realme GT Master Edition. He also said that in the future, Realme will continue to provide smartphone Competitive 5G in every price segment.

Meanwhile, from a business perspective, the strategy implemented is to optimize costs at all levels. This includes sales and marketing channels to stay competitive in the face of scarcity chipset 4G and price competition.

“On the other hand, we focus on providing smartphone Affordable 5G at all levels, considering supply chipset 5G is sufficient as our goal to popularize smartphone 5G in Indonesia,” explained Palson.

As for this year, Realme Indonesia is targeting to make Realme into the top three brands smartphone in Indonesia until the end of the year. Palson said, scarcity chipset 4G is one of the many challenges facing the entire technology industry today.

Not only that, the impact of the global pandemic also affects the purchasing power and willingness of consumers to upgrade to models smartphone the new one. This is another challenge faced by Realme in running its business this year.
