Skyrim Anniversary Edition, as it is called, was officially unveiled during QuakeCon this week. As the developer explained, this edition will be on the Skyrim birthday itself, ie 11 November this year.

Included in the package is Skyrim Special Edition from 2016, plus over 500 pieces of content from the game’s Creation Club. That is, modifications that introduce new missions, challenges, enemies, weapons and other things that you otherwise have to buy to gain access to.

In connection with the announcement, Bethesda announced various upgrade options for everyone who owns the Skyrim Special Edition. Those on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X / S can upgrade for free to an improved version of the game from November 11th. It will also be possible to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition for an unprecedented price.

For those who do not upgrade, Bethesda also promises a bunch of free extras, including the ability to fish, a survival mode and new missions in the package called Saints and Seducers.
