Summer preparation, transfer window … Emmanuel Dorado (Sainte-Geneviève) takes stock • Actufoot • Pro / amateur football news

Emmanuel Dorado, the coach of Sainte-Geneviève Sports (N2) gave us a few words, the opportunity for us to make a first point on this offseason concerning the transfer window but also the preparation program.

With 5 arrivals for 7 departures (see below), the Sainte-Geneviève club had a fairly lively start to the transfer window, as Emmanuel Dorado explains: “We had a rather hectic transfer window with a lot of departures and arrivals. If some left because we did not want to keep them, others had more interesting offers than ours and decided to change their destination. This is what prompted us to recruit more heavily than in previous years. ” Work carried out quickly on the side of the leaders which allows the staff of Emmanuel Dorado to count on a complete group and to better prepare the 2021-22 fiscal year. “Today, we are no longer looking for anyone and we had the chance to recruit very quickly and to complete a workforce. We are very happy with the different profiles that we were able to sign ”, he continues.

A summer preparation that has not yet started, which is a small exception at this level. The coach specifies: “We will resume on the 12th next Monday because we have privileged the amateur life of our footballers so that they can enjoy family vacations with the children. “ A choice that was already made at the end of last season since the group had trained until June 12 in order to have a larger cut according to the coach, who believes that 4 weeks of preparation are sufficient.

Six friendly matches on the program

In order to test itself, if no internship is planned, it will not be less than six preparatory meetings that will be on the menu of the Essonne club. On July 17 and 21, they will face two selections of players looking for a club. On Saturday 24th, it will be a duel against FCM Aubervilliers (N3) of Rachid Youcef then on the 31st against Entente SSG (N2) of Didier Caignard. Between these two meetings, an opposition against the reserve of Paris FC (N3) is on the menu. To end this busy program, a last match against Paris 13 Atletico (N2) will be played on Tuesday 03 August.

Regarding the ambition of Sainte Geneviève, it is quite simple for the coach Dorado: “Win as many matches as possible. “ However, that’s not why he’s going to set outrageous goals. “We are aware of our limits and our budget, given our means, there is no question of talking about a climb because the club is not structured for that and there are teams that are really prepared and built for play this first place “, he specifies. A realistic speech but which is nevertheless not devoid of ambition as he likes to emphasize: “We are there to maintain ourselves as quickly as possible and depending on, we will see our ambitions increase or not. We have managed to do this in recent years in order to be able to have a second part of the season with different ambitions. To finish on the podium or in the top 5 in any case, that would be good. “

A great challenge, therefore, for a team that was one of the great surprises in the Paris region in recent years with a game that marks the spirits. There is no doubt that Sainte-Geneviève and her coach Emmanuel Dorado will be scrutinized again in this 2021-22 season, starting next week with the start of preparation which will mark the kickoff that all football lovers are waiting for.
