It’s the variant Delta, from India, which is spreading at high speed. It represents 97.3% of contaminations in the Rhône.
The Covid-19 is progressing in Greater Lyon
According to the latest data Public health France, for the rolling week of August 9 to 15, 2021, we can determine how the virus is circulating in each municipality. Here is the detail by incidence rate:
If last week, three municipalities in the metropolis had an incidence rate of less than 50, they were all caught up by the wave of Covid-19. La-Tour-Salvagny which had less than 10 cases per 100,000 inhabitants goes to an incidence rate of between 50 and 150. Just like Fleurieu-sur-Saone and Curis-au-Mont-d’Or which goes from 10 to 20 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to 50 to 150 cases.
- Incidence rate included between 50 and 150 : Charbonnières-les-Bains, Collonges-au-Mont-d’Or, Jonage, Limonest, Montanay, Quincieux …
- Between 150 and 250 : Albigny-sur-Saône, Charly, Craponne, Francheville, Irigny, the 6the arrondissement of Lyon, Marcy-l’Etoile, Rochetaillée-sur-Saône, Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d’Or, Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, Sathonay-Village …
As this list is not exhaustive, do not hesitate to consult the map above:
Unsurprisingly, most municipalities in Greater Lyon have an incidence rate between 250 and 500 : Bron, Caluire-et-Cuire, Champagne-au-Mont-d’Or, Corbas, Dardilly, Ecully, Feyzin, all the districts of Lyon (except the 6th district), Meyzieu, Mions, Oullins, Pierre-Bénite, Rillieux- la-Pape, Saint-Fons, Saint-Genis-Laval, Saint-Priest, Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, Vénissieux, Villeurbanne …
Three municipalities explode the incidence rate. TO Décines-Charpieu, Vaulx-en-Velin and Poleymieux-au-Mont-d’Or it is between 500 and 1000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
A paradox when we know that one of the largest vaccination centers, the Groupama Stadium is located in Décines. Since Wednesday, August 18, the Olympique Lyonnais stadium has been welcoming all non-vaccinated people without an appointment. The Vaulx-en-Velin vaccination center has also reserved walk-in time slots.
