In the department of biology and methodological work of the Poltava Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center, they found out that this is an Argentine rainbow boa constrictor.
In Poltava, a woman found a meter-long snake in the toilet of her apartment. Svetlana Rybalko, the speaker of the State Service for Emergency Situations of Ukraine in the Poltava region, told about this, according to the channel’s report IRT.
As it turned out, this is the Argentine rainbow boa constrictor.
“Somewhere someone kept it at home. Because such animals are not found in the wild in our area,” said Lyudmila Brizhak, head of the department of biology and methodological work of the Poltava Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center.
According to her, the homeland of the rainbow boa constrictor is Central America, Northern Brazil, Argentina. They are found in tropical forests, in bushes, near water bodies.
