Jakarta: Menteng Subdistrict Health Center, Central Jakarta is one of 35 hospitals in DKI Jakarta that has received distribution of the Moderna type of covid-19 vaccine. The health center has opened the Moderna type of vaccination for the general public starting Wednesday, August 19, 2021.
The Menteng District Health Center provides 120 doses of Moderna vaccine per day for the general public. Moderna’s stock of vaccines is still limited only to people who are prioritized to get the vaccine.

This prioritized community will still have to complete several existing requirements. The proposed conditions include that the people who will be vaccinated with Moderna have never received the first or second dose of vaccine.
Moderna vaccine recipients must have a DKI Jakarta ID card or a domicile letter from the local RT. Then there must also be a certificate from the doctor stating that the prospective vaccine recipient cannot use the AstraZeneca or Sinovac vaccines.
“A letter of recommendation from his specialist which states that it is true that he has never been vaccinated and that apart from his directives, it is not AZ or Sinovac,” said Head of the Menteng Sub-district Health Center, IGA, Rusmala Dewi.
Maria, a pregnant woman, said her specialist had recommended her to use the Moderna vaccine. In addition, the process to get the Moderna type of vaccination is relatively easy and fast.
“Yesterday, I came, registered, yesterday afternoon I was told that today you can get the vaccine directly here, how fast is the process,” said Maria.
The Ministry of Health has prioritized health workers to get the Moderna type booster vaccine. A total of 1.5 million health workers have received the Moderna vaccine and another 5 million doses will be distributed to the general public.
