The concern was caused by the absence of Maillet at the grand final of Rally Belgium. The police were alerted and a shocking discovery was made in the home of a 51-year-old woman. The bodies of two women shot dead and Maillet’s husband, Franz Dubois, were found in the bedroom.
According to arrangements investigators he could have committed the crime. The incident was supposed to take place on Saturday night. Police said there was a double homicide case underway, but ruled out treason as his motive. Maillet and Dubois had been married for 17 years, but the woman did not hide her homosexuality. Her contacts with other women were known in the circles of friends and acquaintances of the couple.
