Handball gets another name in the SVT hit “Masters of the Masters”. Ola Lindgren is one of the ten participants who will travel to Spain in September to record next season.

The champions’ champions mix current TV features with a look back at the careers of the athletes involved. Lindgren has both a successful player career and meritorious coaching time, SVT presents the national team legend in a press release:

“The handball player Ola Lindgren, born in Halmstad, has played 376 international matches (second most ever) and scored 482 goals for Sweden’s men’s national team. Between 1986 and 2003, he participated in winning 13 championship medals, of which three Olympic silver (1992, 1996 and 2000) and two World Cup golds (1990 and 1999). From 2008 to 2016, he shared the responsibility with Staffan Olsson as the national team captain of the Swedish national team, with the Olympic silver in London 2012 as the greatest merit “, writes SVT in the press release.

Lindgren competes against Emma Green (athletics), Antonio Lindbäck (speedway), Sofia Loft (powerlifting) and Magnus Norman (tennis) in the group stage.

Staffan Olsson, Linnea Torstenson and Magnus Wislander are former handball players who participated in the popular program. The 2018 anniversary season took place as a special with different teams when Wislander returned and had to lift the trophy.

Lindgren’s contribution to “The Masters of the Masters” can be watched on television in the spring of 2022.
