governor West Sumatra Mahyeldi and Deputy Governor Audy Joinaldy are in the spotlight for buying new official car in the middle pandemic COVID-19. VFD remind them to prioritize the needs of the people.
“First, the people, the people, and the people are the main ones. Meet all the needs of the people. Serve the people. And take care of the people, especially in times of pandemics,” said SME DPP Chief, Madani Ali Sera, when contacted, Wednesday (18/8/2021) .
Mardani said that if they were forced to change cars, he asked for maximum performance to serve the people. He also reminded them to keep things simple.
“Secondly, if it is necessary to change cars, use them to more optimally serve the people. Third, make sure to keep things simple,” he said.
Mahyeldi Opens Voice about New Official Car
Mahyeldi admitted that he did not know the price of the used vehicle because he did not participate in the purchase.
“I don’t know the exact price, because I didn’t buy it. The old car is still here,” Mahyeldi told reporters, Tuesday (17/8/2021).
Even so, Mahyeldi claimed to know the budget allocation for his official car which reached Rp 1.4 billion. However, he said the purchase price was less than Rp 1.4 billion.
“The car that I used was the allocated budget of Rp. 1.4 billion if I’m not mistaken. And then we bought the lower one,” said the West Sumatra Governor.
According to him, the purchase of a new car was done because the old car was damaged. He even had time to borrow a car from one of the OPD for daily activities. “The car we are using, the old one, I have had transmission problems several times. Even though we can service it, it doesn’t work.” safety, so I borrowed a car from another OPD until this new car was available,” he said.
“I have used it, more or less a month ago. I do not know the details of the price. I did not buy it. The General Part,” he added.
