Earlier, Tovmasyan received suspicion in the case of a million dollar bribe. He was expelled from the Servant of the People.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Council Artur Tovmasyan on Tuesday, August 17, wrote a statement on early resignation. He wrote about this in Facebook.
“I made a responsible and balanced decision: I wrote a statement on the resignation of the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council. I signed an order to convene an extraordinary session on August 19. I am grateful to my colleagues-deputies for their work, I ask everyone to support my position,” he wrote.
As known, Tovmasyan was earlier given suspicion in the case of a million dollar bribe, in which his deputy was detained. The head of the Regional State Administration said that he did not plead guilty and intends to prove it in court.
After that Tovmasyan was expelled from the party Servant of the people.
