Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has strengthened Manchester United’s two rising stars in the same way as Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United are once again brimming with young talent, but Solskjaer is keenly aware that natural talent is never enough, especially when the competition reaches the highest level.
With that in mind, the Manchester United manager has decided to work on Donny Van de Beek and Mason Greenwood’s physical conditioning.
While some may think it’s normal for young players to bulge up, Solskjaer has improved by applying Ronaldo’s previous training approach to the partner’s physical development training.
“I think it is a combination of many things,” Solskjaer told the Manchester Evening News about the physical development of his players. “With Donny [Van de Beek], has had a summer off, got injured, and had his own fitness regimen and fitness program. I think he felt that the Premier League [inglesa]it’s different and you need to develop that physical strength and it looks good. [Él] He hasn’t lost his stamina and movement yet, so that’s very good. ”
” Mason [Greenwood] it’s a combination of age because it’s just being completed, it’s still a kid, “he continued.” The common denominator is the work they do with the fitness staff here. I have an amazing staff. We’ve done it with so many players. Cristiano [Ronaldo] It was one of the best examples of how you enter as a child and get this physical development with the quality of the staff that I have and it is imperative in the Premier League that you have that solidity ”.
It is widely known in the sport that Ronaldo is one of the hardest working players out there.
At 36, the Portuguese has shown little to no signs of aging on the pitch, and his physique certainly does too.
In addition to observing results similar to Ronaldo’s model in physical training, Solskjaer also emphasized the need to maintain “discipline” and a winning mentality.
“We need that to be able to challenge at the top, we cannot be too nice,” emphasized the manager. We can not have [y]’oh it’s another game next week’ it’s all games and all practice matters. If you want to be successful, that’s the discipline you need, and hopefully it seems like it.
“If we want to, we all need that discipline and that hunger, and the fear of losing, you have to have that.Infobarcelona.cat Brief news.
