Miriam Valderde, another resident of the north of the city, arrived at 08:00 to get a dose of AstraZeneca for the Bicentennial. “When I arrived there were already many people waiting. More than two hours have passed and I still have not been able to immunize myself ”.

Others, on the other hand, pointed out that, in cities, such as Imbabura Y Guayaquil a similar reality was experienced.
“I have visited five vaccination centers in Guayaquil and they are all closed,” commented another user of the social network.

The Ministry of Public Health announced that from this Monday, August 16, immunization will resume in all the sites of inoculation. This after the arrival of a shipment with two million formulas from the Chinese Sinovac, which arrived at the Quito airport on the afternoon of Saturday, August 14.
With them, the country has received 18.1 million doses from five suppliers: Pfizer-BioNtech, AstraZeneca, Covax Facility, Sinovac and CanSino.
