The Mexican Marcelo Flores placeholder image had an outstanding start to the season after scoring a hat-trick and an assist in the victory of the Arsenal Sub 18 over Aston Villa 5-3.
Flores played the 90-minute match that took place at the Arsenal Training Ground facilities, where was in charge of opening the scoring at minute 21.
Seven minutes later the Mexican attacker gave an assist for his teammate Khayon Edwards to make it 2-0. In the final moments of the first half, Flores again appeared to mark the third for the Gunners.
In the complementary part sealed his participation with a hat-trick, after scoring Arsenal’s fifth goal at 54 ‘, sentencing the duel in front of The Villans.
Thanks to this meeting, Flores is one goal and one assist away from matching his record in 16 games last season, in which he was away for two months due to injury.
Marcelo Flores placeholder image has been played for the Mexican Under 17 team on several occasions. However, Canada and England have tried to convince him to play for their respective teams,even the team of the Maple Leaf called him up in the pre-list for the 2021 Gold Cup.
