Photo: Marion Teppler – – Gierath / Gubberath The citizens’ shooting association Gierath-Gubberath has come up with a very special campaign together with Marion Teppler, Queen 2000/2001 and Adjutant 2018/2019 as well as co-founder of the Facebook group “GGStones Bunte Steine”. Under the motto “Tradition and togetherness in Gierath and Gubberath” everyone was asked to design a stone artistically. Those interested had a month to send their works of art to Marion Teppler. You can still vote for the most beautiful. “I would never have expected the response, we got almost 120 stones together in a short amount of time,” she says happily, “every stone is great, some of the children even painted it.” – The creativity should of course also be rewarded. Initially, it was planned that three stones would be awarded a prize sponsored by the BSV. Thanks to a donation from SM Markus I. Schroeder and IM Erika Breuer, a fourth and fifth prize are now made possible. – With so many submissions, it is really not easy to decide who should be one of the winning stones. Therefore, neither the BSV nor Marion Teppler take over the election, but the members on Facebook. Just leave a like on one or more stones and keep your fingers crossed for your favorite. – At the end of the painting campaign, there is even something very special waiting for the award-winning stones: After the shooting festival, they should be fixed in a concrete strip and thus secured for the years to come. As Marion Teppler reveals, the other stones from the competition should also be preserved and get a nice place. To protect them from wind and weather and so that no paint seeps into the ground, her husband has sealed them all with a special varnish. – If you want to look at the stones and leave a like for your darling, you have until tomorrow to stop by the Facebook group “GGStones Bunte Steine”. – – .
