Tottenham Hotspur is increasing its bid for Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic to € 60 million, including bonuses, sparking a bidding war with Atlético de Madrid.
According to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, Spurs are stepping up their attempts to catch the Serbian striker after he made a foray into Serie A for Atalanta defender Cristian Romero.
Vlahovic is the next target, apparently regardless of whether Harry Kane stays at Tottenham or goes to Manchester City on a € 120m move.
Atlético de Madrid had made a proposal believed to be worth € 50 million plus bonuses, leading to a bidding war between the clubs.
The 21-year-old is currently negotiating a new contract with Fiorentina, but it is reported that it would include a buyout clause set at € 70 million.
So if a club gets close to that goal now, it might be tempted to make a sale, especially since the salary has yet to be agreed with its agent.
Vlahovic scored 21 goals in Serie A last season, but Viola continued to fight relegation until recent weeks.
