Travis Scott
The US rapper has built a name for himself in recent years that is known all over the world. Above all, however, in the past year it has developed into the largest brand in international hip hop through numerous lucrative partnerships.
Even though he hasn’t released an album in over three years – since Astroworld – the rapper seems to literally turn every product he touches into gold. Now it turned out that he is not only one of the most successful rappers of our time, but much more.
Most Influential Person
A recent study by Complex asked a number of people ages 18 to 34 across America who they thought was the most influential figure in youth culture. The answer was clear – Travis Scott was actually number one on the poll.
Respondents cited reasons like his community engagement, authenticity, brand association, versatility, and closeness to pop culture deities Kanye West and Kylie Jenner. “That’s the Kardashian-Jenner effect,” said a 28-year-old from Texas.
Another person cited the reason that Travis Scott had an incredible influence on a wide variety of topics. “He’s not limited to just one or two” – understandable, after the several partnerships with big names like McDonalds or Fortnite.
On the cover of the Forbes issue “30 Under 30”, Travis Scott is said to have earned more than 100 million US dollars in 2020 through corporate partnerships and branded goods. The superstar started the new celebrity meal trend at McDonald’s in 2020 that earned him $ 5 million from McDonald’s and another $ 15 million from Mickey Dee’s branded merchandise sales.
With his last album Astroworld turning three this month, all eyes are on Travis Scott’s journey to Utopia – his next album to come. After all, it is his music that most people know Travis Scott for.
