Wallace, in a message to the Taliban, stressed that if they allowed al-Qaeda to re-emerge and operate in Afghanistan, London would return troops to the country.
“I would leave every option open. If the Taliban had a message last time, you start hosting al-Qaeda, you start attacking the West, or countries like that, we can come back,” Wallace said, as reported by Sputnik on Friday. (13/8/2021).

“I really worry that failed countries are breeding grounds for such people. Al Qaeda may be able to return,” Wallace said. Also read: Taliban Successful, British Fear of Al-Qaeda Returning to Afghanistan
