After indictment in New York, London case Prince Andrew will also be opened

London police are once again investigating allegations of sexual abuse against Britain’s Prince Andrew. Cressida Dick, head of the London police, made this known on Thursday in her monthly radio show on the British channel LBC.

The reason is the lawsuit that was filed last week in the United States by Virginia Giuffre against Andrew. The now 38-year-old woman says that the prince sexually abused her several times at the age of 17. The prince denies the allegations and says he has never met Giuffre, despite the two being in a photo together, which was taken during the same period as the possible sexual abuse.

“No one is above the law,” Dick said on the radio. “As a result of what’s going on, I’ve asked my team to take another look at the evidence.” She says she is “open” to cooperate with the American justice in the case of Giuffre.

The abuse of Giuffre is said to have taken place in several homes of Jeffrey Epstein, an American businessman who was convicted of sexually abusing underage girls. His former partner Ghislaine Maxwell is said to have recruited the children for him.

Prince Andrew was friends with Epstein. Maxwell is in a US prison awaiting trial. Epstein died in 2019 in a New York prison by suicide.
