The Afghan Alam was an interpreter for the Dutch during the Uruzgan mission. Or actually more than that; he was their mainstay. After an attempt on his life, the translator fled his homeland at the end of 2018 and applied for asylum in the Netherlands. An emotional reunion with his comrades in arms awaited him this year.
