Togo-Education: Kokoroko gets rid of false teachers

The minister in charge of primary and secondary teachers in Togo, prof Dodzi Kokoroko, is not at the end of his days.

After the stage of free rehearsal and vacation courses as well as other recently integrated provisions in the education sector, he is attacking bogus teachers.

In a press release dated August 10, 2021, Dodzi Kokoroko indicated that it is established that individuals not working as a teacher in any school, manage to apply for professional teaching exams and competitions. .

This behavior, he continued, contrary to the ethics of the teaching profession, is facilitated by the complacency of the heads of establishment who, by this fact, violate the rules of ethics of their functions.

To this end, prof Dodzi Kokoroko recalled that “professional teaching examinations and competitions are often organized only for active teachers”.

He therefore urges “all heads of public and private establishments of all kinds and heads of inspection, apart from the usual documents in the application file for said examinations and competitions, both in writing and in the practical phase: the job retention certificate confirming the effectiveness and regularity of the candidate’s work in his establishment, the candidate’s employment contract in the case of private teachers and public volunteers ”.

And to add: “Any contravention of new provisions axes is exposed to the rigor of the disciplinary sanctions in force”.
