Statoil will have a new manager in Latvia

From 1 September this year “Statoil Ilze Siliņa will leave the position of Executive Director of Fuel & Retail Latvia, and the current Chief Financial Officer Gunta Jēkabsone will become the acting CEO of the company, the portal “Delfi” was informed in the company.

Siliņa ran Statoil Fuel & Retail Latvia for four years and has now decided to go with her family to Switzerland.

Jēkabsone, the acting CEO of the new company, has had a career in Statoil Latvia for 19 years. She started working for Statoil as a gas station salesman, but over time, proving her leadership skills and competence in finance, she became an internal controller, then head of the Finance and Control Department and a member of the management team.

Thanks to her contribution, risk management and accounting systems have been successfully implemented so far, as well as many other important projects.
