Russian Mere supermarkets have opened in Nikopol and Pavlograd, Dnepropetrovsk region. Previously, this possibility was denied in National Security and Defense Council.
About the launch of retail outlets LIGA.net said the former director of development of this network in Ukraine Artem Khomenko. He noted that the company plans to open 40 more supermarkets in our country.
Mere has such plans until the end of 2021. And in the near future, new supermarkets should appear in the Kiev region and all in the same Dnipropetrovsk region.
At the same time, Khomenko noted that he no longer has anything to do with the company, but he is familiar with its plans.
In the middle, NSDC Secretary Aleksey Danilov assured that Mere chain cannot enter the Ukrainian market.
He also then threatened the local authorities with “quick measures” if they would give any preferences to Russian business.
In addition, Danilov noted that the attempt to launch in Ukraine is a special operation of the Russian special services… According to the NSDC secretary, they intend to use the trade network to achieve political goals.
