Challenges Russia, US Invited to Place Missile System in Ukraine

WASHINGTON – Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Ukraine Alexey Reznikov meminta United States of America (US) deployed its military, including army units and air defense systems, to the Eastern European country.

This action would clearly be considered by Moscow as a serious provocation if it actually materialized.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Reznikov revealed he had made the request during a visit to the United States, during a meeting with the Jamestown Foundation, the think-tank that the Russian government accuses of spreading propaganda against the state.

“It is important to expand the security package for Ukraine,” Reznikov said.

“First of all, by deploying air defense forces, and even by deploying American units,” he said.

The politician added that Ukrainian law already allows foreign troops to be stationed in the country.
