The Swedish-American actor Joel Kinnaman (41), known from films and series such as “Suicide Squad” and “House of Cards”, will now be investigated for rape charges.
The prosecution now confirms that a rape investigation with the actor Joel Kinnaman as accused has been initiated. It writes Swedish Expressen.
Races against former sex partner
– I have just received the case and will now familiarize myself with it. The investigation is at an early stage, and several investigative measures must be carried out before it is possible to get an idea of what may have happened. At the moment, criminal classification is rape, says chamber lawyer Virpi Alajarva at the public prosecutor in Skövde in a press release.
She adds that she has not been in contact with either Kinnamann or the prosecutor.
The woman who accuses the actress of rape is the Swedish model Gabriella Magnusson, better known as Bella Davis. On her Instagram profile, she has published a number of screenshots of conversations between her and Kinnaman.
It is unknown when several of the messages she published were sent, and it does not appear that they were sent from Kinnaman’s verified account. In later posts she has published, however, it appears that the messages originate from Kinnaman’s account.
Davis tells Expressen that she will now deliver more evidence to the police and the prosecutor, and adds that it is nice that her side of the incident is heard.
– It feels incredibly nice. Now I submit videos that I recorded. I have submitted quite a lot, but can not go into details, she says.
Denies the allegations
Last week, Kinnaman posted a post on Instagram where he told that he has applied for a restraining order against Davis.

In the Instagram post, he wrote, among other things, that he has applied for a restraining order against “a woman who has threatened to harm me, my family and my loved ones physically, and tried to extort money and other valuable things from me”.
Magnusson is said to have had a brief romance with the actor in 2018. He writes that they had sex with consent once in November 2018, and once in December 2018.
“The next day she sent me a message saying that she did not like that I did not ask her if she would stay with me that night, and that I did not ask if she could get home safely.”

In the years after, in 2019 and 2020, Magnusson will have resumed contact with the desire to meet, with Kinnaman was then in a relationship, and will have said no. He claims that he cut off all contact with her.
Joel Kinnaman is currently in a relationship with model Kelly Gale (26). The couple got engaged last year.

In conclusion, the 41-year-old wrote that he supports all victims of sexual abuse, but makes it clear that this is not what has happened in this case.
