Spielberg –
Repsol Honda Riders Marc Marquez ‘fade’ in MotoGP Styria, last weekend. Even so, Marquez claimed to have good capital for the second race at Spielberg.
In the Styria series, Sunday (8/8/2021), Marquez started from eighth position. In the early rounds, the Spaniard briefly took third place, before being overtaken by Fabio Quartararo and Joan Mir.
However, Marquez’s good momentum was marred by the incident between Dani Pedrosa and Lorenzo Salvadori. The race had to be stopped temporarily because the accident caused the motorcycles of both riders to catch fire in the middle of the Red Bull Ring track.
After restart, Marc Marquez actually sluggish. The eight-time world champion dropped to 13th before finally finishing eighth, nearly 18 seconds adrift of Jorge Martin (Pramac), who emerged victorious.
Now Marquez will return to the Red Bull Ring Circuit to do it MotoGP Austria, Sunday (15/8). Marquez is determined to improve the results.
“We’re back to Austria And it will be the first time for us to race on the same track for two weeks in a row, so it will be interesting.” Motosan.
“Frankly, I don’t think the race will change much. But we started with a very good foundation,” continued the 28-year-old rider.
“The last race went well, except for the second start on Sunday. I’m sure we will have a good weekend,” said Marc Marquez ahead of MotoGP Austria.
