Suara.com – Researcher at the Center for Science and Space of the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (Eight) Andi Pangerang say peak phenomenon perseid meteor shower takes place August 12-13, 2021.
“This meteor shower can be witnessed without any tools, as long as the weather is clear, the field of view is free from obstructions and the sky quality is clean enough,” said Andi, Monday (9/8/2021).
Andi said the meteor shower phenomenon would be visible to the naked eye if there was no light pollution.
The Perseid meteor shower is active from July 17 to August 24 every year. The meteor shower comes from the dust remnants of comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle.
