NEWS good for Paris Saint-Germain fans (PSG). Italian journalist and European football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, claims Lionel Messi has received a PSG contract proposal and will soon become part of Les Parisiens – PSG’s nickname.
As is known, Messi has parted with Barcelona. Messi’s farewell press conference with Barcelona took place on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
After that, Messi was closely linked with PSG. Previously, Manchester City and Chelsea were also included in the market for clubs chasing Messi, but PSG was the most frequently mentioned. Because, Chelsea are focused on signing Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan and Man City have just bought Jack Grealish at a fantastic price from Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, according to Romano’s report, Messi will soon fly to Paris in the next few hours. He will most likely complete his transfer to PSG.

“Lionel Messi Joins PSG… HERE WE GO! The total deal was completed on a two-year contract. Option to extend until June 2024. Salary around 35 million euros including additional per season,” Romano tweeted on his Twitter (@FabrizioRomano), Tuesday (10/8/2021).
“Messi has accepted PSG’s contract proposal and will be in Paris in the next few hours,” he said.
