Molln’s former pastor is buried in Sierning

Karl Gruber was born on November 25, 1947 in Großraming. After completing compulsory schooling, he worked in his parents’ farm and then in the Wilhering monastery gardening facility. After graduating from the upper secondary school in Horn, he entered the Linz seminary in 1977 and was ordained a priest on June 29, 1983 in the Mariendom Linz.

From 1983 to 1985 he was a cooperator in Schwertberg and Braunau-St. Stephan. He was then appointed parish administrator of Waizenkirchen, where he worked until 1992. He was then appointed pastor of Molln, where he worked as a prudent and caring pastor for almost 20 years until his retirement in 2010. In addition, he was dean at the Molln dean’s office from 2001 to 2010. In addition, Karl Gruber was appointed parish provisional member of Frauenstein from 2004 to 2010 and from 2006 to 2009 provisional parish proxy of Waldneukirchen.

Even after the end of his official work as a pastor, he worked until the end as a parish provisional in Sierninghofen-Neuzeug and also as a pastor in the hospital of the Sierning Cross Sisters.

The deceased will be prayed for on Thursday, August 12th, at 7 p.m. in the Sierninghofen-Neuzeug parish church. The funeral service will take place on Friday, August 13th, at 2 p.m. in the Sierninghofen-Neuzeug parish church. The deceased is then buried in the priest’s grave at the Sierning parish cemetery.
