Microsoft is heading (virtually) to this year’s Gamescom, the annual video game expo normally held in Germany every summer, in the form of a live stream on August 24. That’s one day before Gamescom 2021 officially kicks off on August 25. it will be completely digital, like last year.
The Xbox stream of Gamescom 2021 can be seen on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Gaming and Twitter on August 24 at 1 pm EDT / 10 am PDT / 7 pm CEST.
The Xbox team promises “in-depth updates to some of our previously announced Xbox Game Studios titles along with some of our third-party partners” during its Gamescom 2021 broadcast. Expect Microsoft to focus on games scheduled for release this time. Christmas season, like aura Infinityand titles coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg, Xbox Game Marketing General Manager, emphasized again on Twitter that the broadcast is “focused on game updates coming this year.” Greenberg said viewers shouldn’t expect new revelations or big surprises, but joked with “a fun broadcast.” (You can probably expect those new reveals and big surprises to appear during Gamescom’s Live Opening Night, a broadcast hosted by Geoff Keighley arriving on August 25 at 2 p.m. EDT / 11 a.m. PDT.)
