On the state regional road Kuldīga – Skrunda – Embūte (P116) in the section from Kuldīga to Skrunda (kilometers 6.84–35.13) the reconstruction of the pavement is starting, informed VSIA “Latvijas Valsts ceļi” (LVC). The renovation work will cost more than 3.8 million euros.
During the construction works, the traffic speed at the facility is limited to 50 and 70 kilometers per hour. Traffic is regulated by road signs and guide posts, one traffic light section and a width limit of 3 meters have been introduced. It takes 35 minutes to cross the stage.
In the almost 30-kilometer-long section, the cross-section of the road will be leveled, a new asphalt leveling layer and a wear layer will be laid. During the stage, 11 stop platforms will be restored and new benches will be installed.
The works are performed by SIA “CTB” for a contract price of 3,847,598 euros with value added tax from the additional allocated budget funds of 55 million euros in connection with the Administrative Territorial Reform.
The works are planned to be completed in the beginning of November.
