According to current data, the so-called incidence number, ie the number of confirmed cases in the last seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, is eleven. Of the regions, the worst situation is in Prague, where this number is 22. It is followed by the Pilsen region, where the incidence stagnates at 16. On the other hand, the lowest is in the Zlín and Karlovy Vary regions, where they record four infected people per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days.
At the same time, statisticians from the Institute of Health Information and Statistics (ÚZIS) emphasize that the minimum time unit in which a change in the trend can be traced is seven days, reminded ÚZIS spokeswoman Lenka Svobodová.
Since last epidemic in the Czech Republic last March, the Ministry of Health has registered 1,674,906 cases of the disease. Most people recovered from the disease and 30,363 people died of covid. So far, statistics have registered three deaths with the disease this week, but these figures may change with further updates.
The number of people who have to be hospitalized has not changed significantly recently, it is around fifty. On Saturday, 52 patients with covid required hospital care, thirteen of them were in serious condition.
About 21,000 people underwent vaccination against covid on Saturday, which is almost 6,000 less than a week ago. As of Saturday evening, 10,652,947 doses of the vaccine had been administered in the Czech Republic, and almost 5.07 million people have completed vaccination.
