The co-authors of the new work and the creators of the visual concept are artists Krista and Reinis Dzudzilo. Premiere On the Hanseatic platform will take place on 14 and 15 August. Krista and Reinis Dzudzilo point out that the main message of the work is the idea of time and its simultaneity, of the expansion of time on both sides, reaching into the future and the past with equal depth.
Soloist Jānis Šipkēvics will use his experience of opera singing in the performance. “Opera singing was the first genre in which I developed my voice. This is my musical beginning, my great love, my time at the music academy. I feel happy that I have been invited to have the opportunity to come in and give of myself what doesn’t get to give, “says the singer.
The production is created in collaboration with movement artist Elīna Gediņš and movement artists Rūdolfs Gediņš and Ģirts Bisenieks, as well as light artist Oskars Pauliņš and video operator Tomas Zeļģis.
