The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, estimated that from September or October the vaccination of non-prioritized adolescents, that is, of those who do not have risk factors.
The official mentioned the issue when explaining what will be the third stage of the management of the pandemic, which she announced today together with the Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero. The announcement took place five days after the Federal Health Council (Cofesa), made up of the ministers of the national and provincial health portfolios, officially launched vaccination for adolescents between 12 and 17 years old with risk factors or prioritized .
The Ministry of Health specified that the Strategic Vaccination Plan throughout the country already reaches 79.2 percent of people over 18 years of age, who received at least one dose of the vaccine against covid-19, a figure that rises 90.6 percent in those over sixty years of age. The complete scheme, that is, the two doses, reaches 52.6 percent of those over sixty years of age and 63.9 of those over seventy years of age.
Vizzotti said that he is “Working very hard so that from September or October we can also have non-prioritized adolescents vaccinated with the vaccines that arrive ”. He also thanked the young people for the effort they make to comply with the sanitary measures.
Vaccination of adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age with risk factors, with application of doses from the American laboratory Modern, began last Tuesday across the country. In the province of Buenos Aires 153 vaccinations were enabled to begin applying the doses to 117,460 young people with risk factors out of a total of 677,347 who had registered on the portal https://vacunatepba.gba.gob.ar/. In the City of Buenos Aires, it started with 9,300 scheduled shifts in the four posts assigned for this strategy: La Rural, Parque Roca, Club San Lorenzo and the Costa Salguero Vehicle Center.
