Sirius recruits talent from the Superettan

Sirius has previously picked Dennis Widgren, Moustafa Zeidan and Herman Sjögrell in the summer window. Now Sirius announces that they have completed another recruitment in Edi Sylisufaj, who most recently comes from Falkenberg. Sylisufaj is picked up on loan with a call option.

– What attracted most with Sirius was their football and their way of playing – I think mainly of their offensive football. Then of course I know Marcus Mathisen since last season, says Sylisufaj in a comment on the club’s website.

The striker is expected to be playable already for Monday’s meeting with Varberg. Sirius’ sports director Ola Andersson is satisfied with the signing.

– Edi is a player we have had our eyes on for quite some time. He had a really good 2020 that many were impressed by – us too. This year it has been a little slower for him and we have agreed with Falkenberg on a loan with a purchase potion when the loan agreement ends. Together with Edi, we will work for him to find his way back to the form he had in the 2020 season. At the same time, we would like to thank Falkenberg and Håkan Nilsson for a good collaboration around Edi, says Andersson.

This year, Sylisufaj has scored a goal in twelve matches in the Superettan for FFF. In the Allsvenskan, he has previously been noted for eight goals in 47 matches.

Sirius is in twelfth place in the Allsvenskan after 13 rounds.
