The rivalry between Instagram and TikTok seems to be continuing. After previously Instagram releasing features like Reels, now it’s TikTok’s turn to launch a ‘counterattack’ by releasing a feature from Instagram, namely Stories.
Named ‘TikTok Stories’, so users can create short videos that will disappear automatically after 24 hours. Initially this feature was discovered by a social media consultant, Matt Navarra, which was shared via Twitter.

After that, TikTok confirmed via The Verge that this feature is still in the testing phase and is available to some users only.
Broadly speaking, the TikTok Stories feature is similar to Instagram Stories, it’s just that TikTok Stories can only share videos, so you can’t make Stories in the form of photos.
The Stories format seems to be one of the most mandatory features on every social media platform. Initially, this format debuted in 2013 on Snapchat, since then many other platforms have made similar features such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and even Twitter, though for Twitter’s case. not last long.
