Messe New York Auto Show canceled
The corona pandemic continues to cause trade fair cancellations: Now the organizers have stopped the show in New York at short notice.
The New York Auto Show will not take place this year. A good two weeks before the planned start on August 20, the organizers have now canceled the large East Coast trade fair. The background to this is an increase in infections with the delta variant of the corona virus and the associated stricter requirements from the state. The event had to be canceled last year due to the pandemic, but it should take place again in 2022.
In New York this year, the debuts of the new Nissan Z and the Subaru WRX were among others. Traditionally, the show in the metropolis is an important sales fair for the US market, the number of internationally interesting new models is usually comparatively small.

The next position in the global trade fair calendar is the IAA in Munich at the beginning of September. A short time later, the Detroit auto show replacement Motor Bella in Michigan is scheduled for the Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of November. All three trade fairs are taking place according to the current status.
