Hiroshima, commemoration tainted by a sensational gaffe

TOKYO – A sensational gaffe today marked the official ceremony of commemoration of the atomic bombing of August 6, 1945 by the US aviation in Hiroshima, followed three days later by the one on Nagasaki and the last act of the Second World War.

Japanese Prime Minister Yishihida Suga failed to read several passages from his speech, given in front of the representatives of the survivors of the Peace Memorial, the epicenter of the massacre.
