According to the documents obtained by the editorial office of “GW”, the mother of the then mayor of Pcim paid PLN 260,000 in cash. PLN for 2.6 thousand. shares in ERG Bieruń Folie. The transaction took place on June 12, 2012, and Halina Obajtek stated that the money came from her personal property.
The same transaction was also performed by Obajtek himself. In the following years, Obajtkowie continued to invest in ERG Bieruń Folie, exactly on the same days and for the same amount. The daily reminds that Daniel Obajtek was the mayor of Pcim and his trial of taking a bribe and fraud was ongoing.
In 2017, Halina Obajtek paid another PLN 400,000 in cash. PLN, thus doubling its share in ERG Bieruń Folie. The same transaction was performed by Daniel Obajtek, who was already the president of Energa at that time.
“Wyborcza” reminds that for many years Halina Obajtek worked physically for a low salary. In the 90s as a seamstress in a factory in Myślenice, and then providing tailoring services at home. She became a manual worker in 2001, when she was employed by Elektroplast – a company owned by Halina Obajtek’s husband’s cousins.

The editorial office of the newspaper tried to find out where the money for the purchase of shares came from Halina Obajtek, but after sending e-mails to ERG Bieruń Folie – whose shareholder is Orlen’s mother – “GW” did not receive an answer.
Daniel Obajtek and his mother have been shareholders of ERG Bieruń Folie since 2012. Currently, the shares are worth several times more.
The co-owner of the company is Tomasz Bugaj, who also has a stake in TT Plast. The tapes disclosed by “Gazeta Wyborcza” show that this company was headed by Daniel Obajtek from the back seat, although as the head of Pcim, he could not do it.
The information from “Newsweek” showsthat in recent years ERG Bieruń Folie has received nearly PLN 60 million in subsidies from the state. The funds come mainly from the National Center for Research and Development and the Małopolska Marshal’s Office controlled by PiS.
