this time fire temperatures also in the North

MeteoWeb

Incredible but true. The super heat of this summer of fire is not over, quite the contrary. Next week will be the hottest of the whole summer, in fact, we don’t write it anymore, otherwise the next one is likely to do even worse. We could not believe we had to announce such a scorching weather forecast, after the exaggerated heat of the past few days and what Italy had already suffered in the second half of June. But yes, this year the Italian climate is more African than European and the novelty is that this time the tongue of fire coming from the Sahara desert will not be limited to the South, but will also extend to the Center / North bringing the mercury column up to to +40°C in Piedmont and Emilia Romagna, reaching the hottest peaks of the year between 11 and 13 August (therefore for what is usually the final moment of the summer season in the North).

The highest temperatures, once again, will be recorded in the South and in particular on the major islands. Sardinia and Sicily risk even touching +48°C, but also in Calabria, Puglia, Basilicata and Campania we will have peaks close to, if not higher than +45°C and also Rome, Perugia and Florence, the great cities of the Center, will surpass the +40°C. It will be nightmare days. The worst of the year. And it will not last long: the new heat wave, after the short and partial respite of these hours, will begin on Sunday 8 August and could last for a week, up to Mid-August.
