Michał Rozmys was not one of the great favorites in the men’s 1,500 m competition, but Polish fans quietly hoped that our player would be able to advance to the finals. The Polish representative played in the second semi-final run.
In the initial phase of the competition, Rozmys was hooked by one of his rivals and … he lost his shoe on the treadmill. This event finally destroyed the Pole’s chances of advancing to the Olympic finals from his run.
Our rider reached the finish line of the race, but his loss to the rivals was huge. The Pole scored 3: 54.53, losing over 20 seconds to the best runners in the race.
Immediately after the run, Michał Rozmys and his staff reported a protest, which was accepted! The Pole, however, will run in the final. More details HERE.
