Coca-Cole in the Czech Republic and Slovakia last year’s profit fell by 90 percent

Revenues of the company last year fell by 15.3 percent to 6.8 billion crowns.

Company spokeswoman Patricia Šedivá has previously said that household consumption increased during the pandemic. However, the decrease caused by the loss of consumption in closed operations was far from compensating for this increase.

Despite these difficulties, last year the company launched the construction of a new fully automated warehouse in the production area in Kyje, Prague, for half a billion crowns, which will replace the distribution center in Prague – Horní Počernice.

Since 2017, the company has invested approximately two billion crowns in the Czech Republic. In recent years, it has included, among other things, 650 million crowns in three lines.

In Prague, it started producing so-called plant drinks for Central Europe under the AdeZ brand. She put tens of millions of crowns in the syrup factory.

Dan Timotin became the company’s new director last year. He replaced Maria Anargyrouva-Nikolić, who took over the management of the company in Greece and Cyprus.

Last year, the profit group Kofola’s profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) fell by eight percent to 1.03 billion crowns.
