ID&T stops summary proceedings about festivals | show

“In the intended preliminary relief proceedings, the starting point was that the decision of 9 July was taken unlawfully and carelessly, because the cabinet had not included the Fieldlab results in the decision-making process. For this reason, the ID&T Group wanted to have the decision annulled in whole or in part,” the statement of the organization reads. “The cabinet, together with the OMT, has now provided additional motivation. The government has thus, on paper, reversed its own negligence. There is then hardly any room left for a judge to correct the cabinet on this.”

ID&T still calls on the government to fully open in September, because then everyone who wants to can be vaccinated. On 13 August, the cabinet will take new decisions about the corona policy for the coming period. Then it will probably also become clearer about what happens with events in September.

All events without seats will be banned for the next two weeks. Last week, the cabinet announced that multi-day festivals with camping will remain banned until September 1. As a result, Lowlands, Down The Rabbit Hole and Mysteryland were cancelled.
