The Parliament rejected GERB’s proposal to set up a commission of inquiry to present in three months all the facts and circumstances about the implementation of the SRS by the Ministry of Interior regarding Bulgarian citizens participating in the election campaign and the election process for the 46th National Assembly. Only the MRF supported the proposal, asking the commission to investigate and put pressure on certain parties during the election campaign. The other parties were “against” or abstained.
According to Manoil Manev, the goal of GERB-UDF is with the commission “to come to light, without a woman saying what exactly happened in the election campaign” and to see “the inadmissible, unexpected and unpredictable pressure of the Ministry of Interior”, which has become a “platform” for boasting of Boyko Rashkov “.
The arguments not to accept the proposal – that there will be a standing committee in parliament; that GERB is trying to “irradiate the people, that there is pressure” and others. According to the former rulers, the unsupporters are hypocrites. The debate lasted two hours and went through accusations of hypocrisy and vote buying, recounting old cases and quotes from George Orwell.
According to Yordan Tsonev, the MRF has told President Rumen Radev that there have been cases of pressure and mayors have been forced to sign declarations that they will not participate in the election process, although by law. The movement wants every case to be considered in parliament. According to Nikolay Hadjigenov from “Stand up. BG! We are coming!” signing declarations by law is not repression.
“Just as it is hypocritical for GERB to talk about police violence, so you, Mr. Tsonev, are hypocritical to talk about pressure. Forests are a function of the MRF and harass people at the household level – not to give them firewood,” he said. the chairman of “There is such a people” Toshko Yordanov. If there is a cabinet, he promised to change the forest.
“There was no MRF forest either in Kardzhali or in any mixed area during the time of GERB,” Yordan Tsonev replied. Then he said about Boyko Rashkov: “With his nervousness and outbursts of narcissism, this cannot be an idea of a Bulgarian minister.”
The BSP gave the example that in the Roma sections in Sofia GERB has 1,700 fewer votes on July 11 than on April 4, and after the arrest of the mayor of Gurkovo the votes for MRF in 27 constituencies in Stara Zagora fell by 9,000.
“Was there repression against GERB? I shed a tear,” said Nikolai Hadjigenov.
According to Mustafa Karadayi, there was currently a “democracy of hypocrisy”, and the reluctance of other parties not to support the commission was a “request for dictatorship” and an attempt to hide harassment of people.
“Democracy is fought from outside, not by the Council of Ministers,” said Nikolai Hadjigenov.
The MP from “Stand up. BG! We are coming!” Dimitar Delchev proposed in the subject of the commission to assign the president to launch a drone and to investigate what is happening in the prime minister’s bedroom so that the circus is full.
“And ten commissions to make – public opinion is so savvy that you are vote buyers that you will not achieve anything,” Tatiana Doncheva told GERB.
According to Ramadan Atalay of the MRF, in order for the National Assembly to have authority, there must be such a commission and people must be questioned.
