The statutes of the future Association of municipalities of A Coruña They have been approved by a comfortable majority and provisionally in the Assembly held today in the University Auditorium. This is one more step towards the dissolution of the Consorcio das Mariñas and its conversion into a Mancomunidad.
The mayor of Abegondo, Santiso Miramontes, urged Oleiros to approve the statutes in plenary session so that the rest of the councils abide by their decision of whether or not they want to be part of the Commonwealth. In the meeting prior to the assembly, of the 8 municipalities of the Consortium, six voted in favor of its celebration and two abstained. If there are allegations, they will be resolved by the Management Commission and finally they must be ratified in each plenary session for the constitution of the Commonwealth. In the event that one of the eight municipal corporations does not approve the statutes, the Commonwealth may not be constituted.
